Substation Relay Engineer

Description of Duties / Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of duties related to design, expansion and upgrades to substations up to 500 kV
- Perform construction management activities
- Perform project management functions on small projects
- Work directly with clients and managers.
- Travel and field work may be required.

Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology or related field.
- Professional Engineer Licensure desired or able to obtain within 6 months
- Experience in relay design using Basler and Schweitzer (SEL) relays
- Experience in design of SCADA systems
- Experience in designing substations including but not limited to equipment layout, site preparation, substation grounding, oil containment, etc.
- Experience in specifying power equipment including but not limited to power transformers, medium and high voltage breakers, protective equipment, SCADA equipment, switches, capacitors, etc.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
