OKLAHOMA CITY - C. H. Guernsey & Company announced today the selection by its Board of Directors of Pat J. Carroll as its new President and CEO. He succeeds Carl N. Stover, current President and CEO, who announced his transition from the firm's executive leadership position in May 2004.
Mr. Carroll has served as Senior Vice President of Guernsey's architectural and engineering services and has served on the Board of Directors since 1987, most recently as Secretary and Treasurer. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelors degree in Architecture.
This is a notable time in the history of the firm. Mr. Carroll is only the fourth CEO of Guernsey in its 77 year history.
"The legacy of the Guernsey family and Carl Stover as the past President and CEO has been to provide our clients with quality solutions," said Carroll. "We are very fortunate to have created an atmosphere that fosters innovation and enthusiasm making Guernsey a great place to work. I look forward to the challenge of continuing our successful efforts to grow the firm through dedication and collaboration."
Mr. Stover, who has served as President, Chairman of the Board and CEO since 1990, will remain active in the firm. He plans to continue providing consulting services and remain Chairman of the Board.
"After serving as CEO for fifteen years I think it is time to transfer the leadership of the firm," said Stover. We began our leadership transition process two years ago. We wanted to ensure that it was as seamless as possible to our staff and clients. Because of our great staff, we have been able to substantially increase the value of the firm over the last fifteen years. It is very well positioned to continue to grow and to offer our clients quality, professional services."
"Pat has been a leader in our firm for many years and the firm will be in very good hands with Pat as the CEO. I plan to continue as a member of the firm and to serve our clients," said Stover.
