Guernsey Adds Four New Employees

OKLAHOMA CITY – C. H. Guernsey & Company recently added four new members to its staff, Mr. Michael Dewings, EI, Mr. Luis Becerra, Ms. Lauren Cavin and Mr. Philip Dean, PE.

Dewings has a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Water and Wastewater Technology, both obtained at universities in England. He is an Engineer Intern and is currently working toward his Professional Engineer status. Prior to working for Guernsey, Dewings spent 15 years working for a major water and wastewater utility in England. Projects that Dewings will contribute to include water resources, water supply, wastewater treatment and drainage studies.

Becerra joins Guernsey as a Junior Construction Manager with 10 years experience in all types of construction. He is currently working on his AD. Becerra will be working on a variety of Guernsey projects including the USPS/Federal Courthouse Security Upgrade for Bay City, Mich. and Decatur, Ala. He also volunteers with the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

Cavin joins the Interior Design department of Guernsey. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She is also an associate member of the International Interior Design Association. Cavin will assist the Architectural department with interior finish selection, space planning and furniture selection.

Dean brings to Guernsey more than three decades of experience in power engineering. He previously spent 30 years with OG&E. Dean then went on to develop and teach classes in Power Transmission and Distribution Technology at OSU-OKC. Dean is a registered Professional Engineer in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Dean’s responsibilities at Guernsey will include project management of high voltage electrical utility design and associated studies.
