Guernsey Growing in Tough Times

OKLAHOMA CITY –- With all the recent gloom among financial markets, Oklahoma, often considered more recession proof, has done its best to stay that way. Local engineering, architecture and consulting firm C. H. Guernsey & Company (Guernsey) is one example of Oklahoma’s economic strength.

Celebrating their 80th anniversary this month, Guernsey continues to steadily grow in many departments by providing a diverse range of services to their clients.

In Architecture, Guernsey has recently welcomed Senior Architect David Walker, AIA; Specification Writer Angie McGovern; Architectural Interns Ryan Fogle, Lindsey McBride, and Bernard Braddick who is also a LEED® Accredited Professional; and Kaela Shuman as an Interior Design Intern.

Guernsey has also added a broad range of staff to their engineering divisions. Charles Nicek, PE has joined as a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer; Gary Johnson, PE as a Civil Engineer; Rizwan Najmi, PE (Ohio) as a Civil Engineer; Tracy Nguyen as an Electrical Engineering Intern; Michael Wilson as a Mechanical Engineering Intern; and James Franks as an electrical engineering technician.

Elsewhere within Guernsey, their analytical department welcomed Mike Gevaza, PE as a Senior Consultant; Angie Martens as a Rate Analyst; and Derinda Bailey as an Administrative Assistant. Guernsey’s environmental department also welcomed Tara Gross as an Environmental Geologist.

With all the fresh faces around Guernsey, their corporate support staff has also recently added Melissa Willis as Human Resources Assistant and Brianne Hinojosa as Marketing Coordinator.

Guernsey would also like to recognize its recent LEED® Accredited Professionals who are helping Guernsey support green building design: Richard Hinkle, PE; Adam Shupe who earned his Professional Engineer designation in July; Jim Luther, AIA; Kelly Coffman, ASLA; and Frank Smith.
