GUERNSEY’s primary role as Construction Manager (CM) is to guard the owner against construction deviations and deficiencies, and to ensure compliance with the plans and specifications. In the execution of this role, our personnel are thorough, diligent and reasonable in demands and exercise good judgment in the interpretation of contract requirements. The CM also plays a key role in meeting the project team’s obligations by:

  • Facilitating an accurate interpretation of construction plans and specifications.
  • Allowing the owner and architect/engineer to capitalize on design changes, saving money and enhancing project quality.
  • Opening communication channels in order to avoid unnecessary problems or disagreements.
  • Preventing minor problems from growing into major crises through timely intervention.
