Security Project Management

In addition to security consulting and design services, GUERNSEY provides project management and construction phase oversight to ensure security upgrade projects are implemented as designed. GUERNSEY’s project management services range from on-call consultation to full time on-site representation. Typical services to our clients during this phase of the project includes providing a list of pre-qualified vendors, reviewing bids and making award recommendations, responding to construction RFIs and reviewing submittals and shop drawings. In addition, GUERNSEY attends meetings at the job site as required to allow opportunities for further interaction with the general contractor and to observe construction progress. Lastly, GUERNSEY provides final system testing and acceptance before the official walk-through with the client.

Our experience clearly shows that a significant portion of security system performance problems arise due to installation phase mistakes. Our hands-on approach to project management and construction supervision has served our clients well. GUERNSEY’s staff is well-versed in communicating with general contractors, sub-contractors and field personnel to identify and resolve potential project pit-falls in a timely fashion, and ensure projects come together as envisioned.
