Fire Protection
Fire protection systems are a network of engineered systems designed to protect a facility. They are not easily tested under “real-world” conditions; therefore, strict code and design standards must be adhered to in order for facilities to be properly protected.
Our mechanical engineers are experienced in the design of various building fire suppression systems. They work in conjuction with GUERNSEY’s electrical engineers and architects ensuring fire alarm and egress are coordinated into a comprehensive, fire and life safety strategy. These designs may be for a remodel of an existing system or the installation of a new fire suppression system.
GUERNSEY's fire protection design capabilities include:
- Establishing hazard classifications for various spaces
- Determining adequate water flow for facility usage
- Wet pipe sprinkler system design
- Dry pipe sprinkler system design
